Description

Simple Flaxseed Hummus is quick, easy and delicious. Serve as a dip for veggies, pita bread, or chips, use as a spread on sandwiches and wraps or use as a base for sauces!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained (liquid reserved) and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup reserved bean liquid
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling on top
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seed oil

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients into a food processor. Process until smooth and creamy. Pour in additional reserved bean liquid until it reaches your desired consistency.
  2. Transfer to a bowl. Drizzle with additional olive oil and sprinkle with ground flaxseed, if desired.
  3. Serve as a dip for veggies, pita bread, or chips, use as a spread on sandwiches and wraps or use as a base for sauces.
