We all know that we should be getting in more fruits and vegetables into our diets, yet the majority of Americans do not meet the recommended daily amounts. According to results of a 2013 national survey of 373,580 randomly chosen American adults, a whopping 13% met the recommended fruit intake and only 9% met the recommended vegetable intake!
I admit that I even have a hard time squeezing in all those fruits and veggies. And, if you are like many of my clients, it’s breakfast which is the hardest meal of the day to get those veggies in. Because of this, I asked my fellow RDN bloggers for their favorite veggie-filled breakfast recipes. It looks like veg in the morning is best paired with eggs – a great source of protein to fill you up and keep you full! So check out the recipes below to find easy and delicious ways to start the day off right by adding veggies to breakfast!
