Scale

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 14.75 oz can wild salmon, drained (or 14 oz cooked salmon)
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 5 large leaves romaine lettuce, for serving, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill.
  2. Place all the ingredients except the salmon and bread crumbs in a medium/large bowl, whisk to combine.
  3. Add in the salmon and bread crumbs. Mix together with spoon until completely combined. With clean hands, form into 5 patties.
  4. Place on grill over medium/medium low heat and cook until browned on the bottom, about 4 minutes. Flip over and continue to cook until browned on the opposite side, approximately an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. (Alternatively, you can cook inside in a skillet or on a griddle following the same cooking instructions.)
  5. Remove from the grill and serve in a lettuce wrap or on a bun with desired toppings.
